Job Duties

Provides scientific and project leadership for the Research Applications Laboratory (RAL) Weather Systems and Assessment Program (WSAP) for a variety of scientific projects related to evaluation of forecasts and new observations; field measurement programs; and weather modification programs.

Professional Interests

Precipitation estimation, forecast verification, satellite rainfall validation, radar meteorology, weather modification assessment, snowfall/snowpack estimation techniques, statistical analysis of atmospheric fields, hydrometeorology, regional climate studies, applied geostatistical data analysis, characterization of tropical precipitating systems, observational network design.
