Abstract
An ensemble of simulations was performed with a coupled atmospheric dynamic model and a transport and dispersion model to help quantify the uncertainty in model-based estimates of possible nerve-gas exposures during the Gulf War. In addition to quantifying part of the uncertainty associated with using such coupled modeling tools for forensic and predictive purposes, an analysis was performed of the dynamic processes that contribute to boundary-layer variability in arid environments - the Arabian Desert in this case.
